Responsibilities: The Associate will be a key team member in Advanced Power’s Project Development team, supporting daily management of the company’s development projects and evaluation of feasibility initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting in or managing certain feasibility and development activities from project inception to commercial operation. This will include obtaining internal active development approval, taking an active role in site development, attainment of relevant permits and regulatory approvals, contract negotiation and management, and financing.
The candidate will also be responsible for supporting and coordinating with all other departments to see the projects to a successful exit, including engineering, commercial, finance, legal and administrative. The candidate will directly support budget and schedule management for active development projects. They will also be actively engaged with local community stakeholders (political, government, school districts) and participate in community engagement and public relations, as needed. The candidate will provide support to the project team in all external and internal matters related to a project, including financing efforts for equity and debt raise processes. They will also evaluate feasibility and new project opportunities, including high level market research and opportunity due diligence, maintain market knowledge and monitor competitors and competing projects.
Qualifications: The candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or MBA and at least 2 years of experience in the energy or power generation or related industry with a demonstrated ability to perform at a high level. Preference is for degree in finance, economics, energy, engineering, or related field. The candidate will report to Director, Development.

Additional requirements: This role is based out of Boston, MA and periodic travel throughout the U.S. will be required.
