Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:
The candidate will support the Advanced Power Project Development and Finance team. Core duties will include:
- develop and manage financial models for the projects under development, projects going through refinancing, and projects Advanced Power is selling equity shares of and/or considering to acquire
- contribute to the development of information memorandums, management presentations, pitch books and marketing materials as needed
- work with the development team to identify and manage the inputs to the project financial models
- evaluate potential acquisitions including levered and unlevered cash flow, NPV and IRR analysis, review and analyze financial data of projects considered, and identify issues and opportunities to provide to management that will contribute to decision making
- research current and past project finance transactions closed by others to identify possible markets of execution, pricing, debt levels, trends and best practices
- assist with ad hoc tasks as assigned and perform other duties as directed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, engineering, accounting, or related field. The candidate is expected to have at least three years of work experience in M&A, project finance, accounting, or financial modeling. Additional requirements:
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint including complex formulas and macros
- proven ability to create and maintain debt and equity financial models for conventional and renewable energy financings including proficiency in tax equity and power purchase agreement (PPA)/hedge modeling
- knowledge of ISO/RTO energy markets is preferred
- highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- quick learner and strong problem-solving skills
